WESTERN CAPITALS REDUCE TRAINING CAMP ROSTER TO 25 PLAYERS

The Summerside Western Capitals have reduced their training camp roster to 25 players following a series of roster moves made Monday, August 31.

The organization has released four players from training camp:

• Ellis Callaghan (F)
• Logan Griffin (F)
• Harrison Hutt (F)
• Dylan Wile (G)

The Western Capitals would like to thank each of the players for their hard work and commitment throughout training camp and wish them all the best moving forward.

With the latest roster moves, the Capitals now have 25 players remaining in training camp as preparations continue for the 2026–27 Maritime Hockey League season.

The team returns to action this weekend with its next pair of exhibition games. Summerside will travel to face the West Kent Steamers on Friday night before meeting the Steamers again on Saturday, September 5.

Saturday’s game will be played in North Rustico at the Eliyahu Wellness Centre, with puck drop scheduled for 7 PM. The contest will mark the Western Capitals’ fourth exhibition game of the preseason.

The upcoming weekend will provide another important opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate the remaining players as the Capitals continue working toward finalizing their roster ahead of the regular season.
