RIVALRY SERIES!

October 16, 2025 – The Amherst Ramblers, along with the Summerside Western Capitals, are excited to announce the launch of the Strait Rivalry Series, an exciting new chapter in one of the league’s most intense rivalries. The Amherst Ramblers and the Summerside Western Capitals will face off in a season-long head-to-head series during the 2025-26 regular season, with bragging rights—and a brand-new trophy—on the line.

The Strait Rivalry Series will track points earned in all regular-season matchups between the two teams. The team with the most points at the conclusion of their final meeting will be crowned the Strait Rivalry Series Champion and awarded a commemorative trophy in a post-game ceremony.

Both teams are calling on their fans to show up and be loud, with special events, giveaways, and themed nights planned around rivalry games throughout the season. More details on those will be released in the weeks ahead.

This series not only celebrates the fierce competition between two proud franchises, but also highlights the community pride and history that define the Amherst–Summerside hockey rivalry.
