Summerside Western Capitals Hosting FREE Islander Day Holiday Game Against West Kent Steamers

Summerside, PEI – February 9, 2024 – The Summerside Western Capitals are thrilled to announce their upcoming Islander Day Holiday game against the West Kent Steamers, which will take place on Monday, February 19th at 2:00 PM AST at Credit Union Place. What makes this event even more special is that admission to the game will be entirely free, thanks to the generous support of five outstanding local businesses: Quality Inn & Suites, Kool Breeze Farms, Standard Aero, Brothers 2, and the Medicine Shop.

This exciting initiative exemplifies the strong sense of community spirit and support that Summerside is known for. By offering free admission to the game, these businesses are providing an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together and enjoy an afternoon of exciting hockey action without any financial barrier.

The Summerside Western Capitals invite all City of Summerside and area residents and visitors to join them at Credit Union Place on February 19th to cheer on the home team as they face off against the West Kent Steamers. With free admission provided by these generous sponsors, there’s no better way to celebrate Islander Day than by enjoying the excitement of live hockey with friends and family. Tickets must be picked up ahead of the game to get in free and can be done so on the following days:

  • Wednesday, February 14th, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (CUP Lobby)
  • Thursday, February 15th, 7:00 PM until end of Caps game (Island Petroleum Energy Centre)
  • Saturday, February 17th, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM(CUP Lobby)
  • Monday, February 19th, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM(CUP Lobby)
