Caps take game 1

The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals took game 1 of the best of 7 series over the St. Stephen Aces this past Saturday night in front of a great crowd of 1,464 fans. The Caps jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Conor MacEachern, the Aces would rally back in the second period tying the game up at 1 a piece. Late in the third period Dylan Riley took a pass from Sullivan Sparkes and banged it to give the Capitals a 2-1 lead, and seconds later, League MVP Brodie MacArthur cashed in on a highlight reel breakaway goal to seal it 3-1. Game 2 goes Tuesday in St. Stephen and Game 3 is back at Credit Union Place on Thursday, at 7pm.
