Transaction | Western Capitals acquire Culligan

The Summerside Western Capitals have acquired defenceman Alex Culligan from the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) in exchange for Future Considerations.

The 6’3″, 191-pound blueliner from Quispamsis, New Brunswick joins the Western Capitals after recording 4 goals, 17 assists, and 21 points in 39 total games last season. The 2007-born defenceman previously suited up for the Saint John Vito’s Major U18 program and Mount Academy’s U18 Prep team.

Alex brings size, physicality, and valuable junior experience to the Western Capitals’ blue line as we continue building for the 2026–27 season.
