CAPS SIGN OHL FORWARD

SUMMERSIDE, PE – The Summerside D Alex Macdonald Western Capitals are excited to announce the signing of 2000 born Stratford, Ontario native Owen Gilhula. Gilhula who was a 2^nd round OHL pick by Sudbury in 2016, has suited up the past 4 seasons with the Wolves, where he accumulated 27 goals and 43 assists for 70 points in 171 games.

Caps GM Pat McIver says “We are thrilled to add Owen to the lineup this year.   We expect him to be a contributor at both ends of the rink.  Owen is scheduled to arrive this week, when he does, he will begin his 14-day quarantine, then join the guys prior to the beginning of the regular season.

The Caps are almost one week into training camp, coming off a 7-4 loss in Pictou and return to action on Friday in Amherst vs the Ramblers and play at home Saturday at 7pm vs Pictou.
