Capitals Announce 2019-2020 Home Schedule

The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals are set to kick off the 2019-2020 season on the road on September 14^th against the Amherst Ramblers.

Once again this season, the Capitals will start on the road for the first five games of the season, including three games in three days from September 20-22^nd in Edmundston, Fredericton, and Grand Falls. The Capitals will return home on Saturday, September 28^th at 7pm for their home opener against the defending league champions the Yarmouth Mariners.

The Caps will have a couple of nice stretches at home, including five in a row from Saturday, October 26^th until Thursday, November 14^th and once again a four game home trip from Thursday, November 21^st until Saturday, November 30^th.

The popular New Years Eve game is back once again on Tuesday, December 31^st at 5pm against the newly moved Fredericton Red Wings. This game brought in over 3,000 fans to the game last year and are hoping for the same result. This years game will also be free to the public to attend along with activities at Credit Union Place through the City of Summerside. This season on Islander Day, the Western Capitals will host the Truro Bearcats at 2pm, which takes place on Monday, February 17^th. Always a popular game, and expect the same once again.

The league has added two more games to the schedule to make it 52 games. This means two extra home games for our fans, as the showcase has been set aside this season, last season the Capitals only had 24 home games at Credit Union Place and one counting at the Showcase in Pictou.

Don’t forget the Capitals early bird season ticket prices are still in effect until August and are available anytime at the Credit Union Place front desk.
