  YARMOUTH, N.S. - Will Johnston of the Summerside Western Capitals was named the Reebok CCM player of the week in the Maritime Junior ‘A’ Hockey League (MJAHL) on Monday.

Johnston, who is in his fourth MJAHL season, demonstrated versatility and leadership on the weekend in two games against Yarmouth.

He scored twice and assisted on another in the Caps’ 5-3 win Saturday night. Sunday, Johnston scored another in a 5-2 loss. To top it all off, the six-foot-three and 210-pound Johnston earned these points while switching between forward and defence.
Johnston has 26 points in 27 games so far this season with 130 penalty minutes.
