NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — The Summerside Western Capitals cruised to a 7-3 victory over the Pictou County Crushers Thursday night in the Maritime Junior A?Hockey League.

Scoring for the Capitals (6-1-0-0) were Darcy Ashley (2-2), Harrison McIver (1-3), Trevor Carmichael (1-2), Matt Myers and Nick Reilly.

Michael Hynes (2) and Scott MacDonald (1-1) scored for the Crushers (3-4-0-0).

The Capitals led 3-1 after the first period and 4-2 after the second but were outshot 42-38 by the Crushers.

Paul Dorsey was in goal for the Caps while Alex Drake started and Randy Chisholm played the last three minutes for the Crushers.
