Capitals Off to Hot Start

  SUMMERSIDE -- Forwards Nathan DesRoches and Darcy Ashley, along with defenceman Spencer MacDonald, all recorded four points to lead the Summerside Western Capitals to an 8-4 decision over the Campbellton Tigers on Sunday.
A crowd of 888 gathered at Credit Union Place for the Maritime Junior 'A' Hockey League to watch the Capitals improve to 3-1 (won-lost) in the young regular season.
Ashley had two goals and two assists while DesRoches and MacDonald were each credited with four helpers. Harrison McIver (2-1), Trevor Carmichael (1-1), Parker Deighan, Jason Gallant and Nick Reilly rounded out the scoring for the Caps, who have netted a league-high 29 goals. Chad Earle had three assists.
Nicholas Cyr (1-2), Lee Denny (1-1), Brett Bernard (1-1) and John Ryan Francis replied for the Tigers (1-2-1).
The Capitals, who outshot the Tigers 44-27, held period leads of 4-2 and 7-3. Winning goaltender was Paul Dorsey.
The game's three stars were:

The Capitals pay a return visit to Campbellton, N.B., on Friday and host the Bridgewater Lumberjacks on Sunday at 4 p.m
