SUMMERSIDE- Gordie Dwyer, Head Coach and Associate General Manager of the Summerside Western Capitals has announced the signing of goaltender Paul Dorsey from the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League.

The 19 year old native of Kanata, Ontario had previously spent time with the team last season as a member of the Kent Cup and Fred Page Cup Winning Team.

“Paul will bring stability to the Goaltending position here in Summerside. He has experience at the Junior “A” level and after attending the Ottawa 67's Camp of the OHL. We are pleased to have him back in a Western Capitals uniform” said Dwyer.

The 67’s drafted Dorsey in the 15th round, 296th overall in this year’s OHL Priority Selection. After reporting to training camp, he has decided to return to Summerside. He will report to the Western Capitals in time for the team’s opening weekend.

Dorsey has previously spent time with the Val D’Or Foreurs and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL, as well as the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL.
